What is involved in being a
SSH Advocate

As a Sooner Safer Happier Advocate (SSHA), your commitment to promoting SSH ideas and patterns is integral to fostering better outcomes and a more humane world of work. To ensure the continued growth and impact of the SSH community, we have outlined specific behaviours and expectations for SSHAs:

  1. Regular Promotion of SSH: Demonstrate consistent promotion of SSH values and patterns both online and in person through various mediums such as articles, talks, tools, graphics, podcasts, conference or meetup appearances, and other relevant content. Aim to produce at least 4 substantial pieces of content annually, with a preference for 6 or more. These pieces should showcase your engagement and advocacy for SSH principles over the preceding 12 months.

  2. Active Participation in Online Discussions: Contribute positively to online discussions on social media platforms, chatrooms, forums, and other relevant spaces. Focus on gently correcting any misconceptions about SSH and redirecting individuals to authoritative information on SSH principles when necessary. Engage in constructive dialogue to promote understanding and awareness.

  3. Completion of Sense-Check Survey: Complete a short online written 'sense-check' survey annually, which typically takes around 20-30 minutes to complete. This survey serves as a tool to check in on your understanding of SSH principles and your commitment to upholding SSH values.

  4. Adherence to SSHA Values & Code of Conduct: Agree to abide by the SSHA Values & Code of Conduct. These values and code of conduct serve as guidelines for maintaining professionalism, integrity, and accuracy within the SSH community.

Purpose of 12-Month Assessment:

The 12-month assessment process aims to uphold a high standard of professionalism and accuracy among SSH Advocates. By monitoring and evaluating your contributions and adherence to SSH principles, we ensure the ongoing integrity and effectiveness of the movement.

Your dedication to these behaviours not only strengthens the SSH community but also amplifies the impact of SSH principles in organisations worldwide. Thank you for your commitment to promoting Better Value Sooner Safer Happier outcomes and shaping a more humane world of work.
