Working pattern: Hybrid - with 2 to 3 days a week in our Manchester city centre office
Contract: 3-month full time internship paid (potential to move into a permanent role)
Experience Level: Entry-level, early career

Internship Salary: £23,000 per annum
Start Date: Flexible

About the Role:

In 3 months, you’ll work on live events and real campaigns for people leading change and improving outcomes inside complex organisations. This is hands-on, outcome-focused work with a path to permanent.

Sooner Safer Happier is a movement helping organisations deliver better outcomes, sooner, safer, and happier. As our Marketing & Operations Coordinator Intern, you’ll get exposure to how decisions get made, how change actually happens, and what leaders are doing right now to improve ways of working.

You’ll be doing work that ships, including:

  • Supporting and running live events (logistics, comms, follow-ups)

  • Creating content that leaders actually use (case studies, posts, assets, slides)

  • Improving our marketing strategy and operations (templates, reporting, process improvements)

  • Experimenting and learning fast — with feedback every week

As a Marketing and Operations Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Sooner Safer Happier mission by driving content creation, managing events, and assisting in marketing efforts.

This position is ideal for a graduate or someone early in their career who is passionate about helping organisations achieve meaningful outcomes. If you’re eager to understand how organisations work and excited to experiment and grow, we’d love to hear from you.

We're Looking For:

  • An individual with a passion for helping organisations improve their ways of working.

  • Comfortable learning new tools and improving processes. Like Canva, G-suite, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Office.

  • Curious and eager to experiment with new approaches to marketing and improving processes.

  • Enthusiastic about learning how organisations can become more adaptable and outcome-focused.

  • Experience in related roles (internships, projects, etc.) is a plus, but not essential.

  • This role includes a 3-month probationary period internship with an opportunity to become permanent

What You’ll Get:

  • The opportunity to be part of a movement that’s reshaping the future of work.

  • A collaborative and innovative environment where learning and experimentation are encouraged with continuous feedback.

  • Hands-on experience across multiple marketing channels, helping to drive meaningful change in organisations.

  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.

  • Daily and Weekly feedback and coaching to build your marketing + ops skills

  • Portfolio-worthy work across multiple channels (content, events, community)

  • A clear route to a permanent role if it’s a great fit on both sides
