Call for Speakers Sooner Safer Happier Meetups

Share your story. Help others improve outcomes in their organisation.

We bring together a global community of practitioners exploring how to achieve Better Value Sooner Safer Happier outcomes,  improving outcomes with more humane, effective ways of working.

If you’ve been experimenting, learning, and trying to make things better in your organisation your story could help others do the same.

What We’re Looking For

What to Expect

Our meetups run each month and are designed to be working conversations.

Across organisations everywhere, people are trying to improve outcomes through their ways of working.

But too often, they’re doing it in isolation. Repeating the same experiments. Facing the same constraints. Learning the same lessons the hard way.

This meetup exists to share learnings.

Topics we care about

We’re interested in talks that help organisations improve outcomes through better ways of working, including:

  • Organising for value (value streams, funding, governance)

  • Leadership and decision-making

  • Using data to enable better decisions

  • Making culture change actionable

  • Outcomes over output

  • Organisational design and team structures

If your story helps teams and organisations continually improve how they work to achieve better results, we want to hear it.

Format

  • 40 minute talk

  • Followed by interactive discussion and Q&A

  • A thoughtful audience of leaders and practitioners

How we think about great sessions

One of the principles we anchor in is that one size does not fit all, context matters.

Because of this, we’ve found that talks grounded in a clear organisational context are far more valuable than abstract frameworks or generalised advice.

Understanding the environment, constraints, and choices you faced helps others:

  • Make sense of what might apply in their own context

  • Adapt ideas, rather than copy them blindly

  • Learn more deeply from your experience

Strong talks usually include:

  • Clear organisational context

  • A specific challenge or problem

  • Actions taken (experiments, changes, interventions)

  • Outcomes and learnings (including data where possible)

We prioritise:

  • Real case studies

  • First-hand experience

  • Practical insight over polished narratives

We do not accept:

  • Sales pitches or promotional content

  • Product demonstrations

  • Generic thought leadership without lived experience

  • Framework-heavy talks with no real-world application

If you are a consultant, we strongly prefer:

  • Co-presenting with your client, or

  • Talks that clearly centre on the organisation’s experience

This helps keep the quality of conversations high and grounded in context based practicalities.
